As the Executive Director of Vanguard Schools, Mr. Spaletta is responsible for overseeing the leadership and management of the Vanguard Classical Schools Organization, which includes both Vanguard Campuses, reporting directly to the Board of Directors and providing leadership to the building leaders and executive team. His role encompasses the supervision of the school administration, development of the classical education program, coordination of operational planning and management, finances and budgetary oversight, management of the charter renewal process, and marketing, public relations and student enrollment. Mr. Spaletta strongly believes that all students can be successful, and this belief has been the driving force behind his successes as a transformational leader. Throughout his career, Mr. Spaletta has dedicated 20 years to teaching, coaching, leadership, and administration as a Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director within urban, rural and suburban school districts. His work in multiple school turnaround efforts has resulted in significant improvements on math and literacy test scores, higher graduation rates, and increased parent involvement.

Mr. Spaletta’s strengths as a school leader have always been his collaborative nature, transparent leadership style, and innovative school improvement initiatives.
