Love of Country is defined as being devoted to our nation—loving its ideals, honoring its heroes, respecting its past, and working hard for a just and noble future.
Love of Country can also mean 'love your country of origin.' Our student population represents a rich array of cultures and nationalities. This is also a great time to celebrate that!
Even with her flaws, our country is a beautiful place, with amazing potential. Developing a love for our country is how that potential is realized and how the future can be better than the past.

Hello! This will be my first year teaching kindergarten, and I am so excited to
learn and grow with the Vanguard team. I received my teaching degree and
license from Colorado State University - and hope to start my masters in the
next year or two! Though I grew up in Greeley and live in Littleton now, I can
say that I am exceedingly grateful to call Vanguard Classical home. I’m
looking forward to a fun and engaging year!
My name is Andrea Hermosillo. I grew up in a small town in Northern Colorado called Yuma. I moved to Denver a few years ago to continue my education. Currently, I am attending Regis University and I am working towards my Bachelor in Liberal Arts. This is my second year at Vanguard Classical. I am beyond grateful for the students, staff, and families that I have met here. I hope to continue to aide children in developing a love for learning in the years to come!
I am a Colorado native and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver and received my Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. This is my fourth year as a teacher and I absolutely love it! I look forward to helping children blossom into lifelong learners at Vanguard Classical School.
EmailHello, my name is Sara Barry. I have a bachelor's degree in health and wellness from Purdue University Global. My daughter and I moved to Colorado from south Florida a little over a year ago. She is currently a 8th grader here at VCS. This is my third year here at Vanguard where I have worked as an Educational Assistant in 6th grade and now in Kindergarten. Also, I am coaching cheerleading... GO HAWKS! Vanguard has given me one of the greatest gifts of my life, being able to spend my days helping children grow, develop, and realize their full potential is an opportunity I am beyond grateful for.
